EXPERIENCE
April 2017 – Present: Senior Stakeholder Engagement Officer, Icon Water
My key responsibilities include develop and implementing public relations and communications strategies for the Icon Water executive team, shareholders, media and other key industry stakeholders. I prepare and review external communications to government agencies, key industry stakeholders and the media. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with government, media, and key industry stakeholders. Develop and implement preparedness plans for media, crisis and any external issues.
Facilitate and manage the day to day interaction with the local media as required. Work with Icon Water asset managers, project managers, alliance partners and contractors to implement stakeholder engagement strategies for specific projects and programs. Provide advice to projects and asset managers on managing complex and sensitive issues. Provide managers with support to ensure good documentation of stakeholder contact to assist with project and management reporting.
March 2014 – April 2017: Digital Communications Officer, Icon Water
My position at Icon Water encompasses the creation, implementation and coordination of Icon Water’s communications strategies, concepts, plans and initiatives for all marketing and communications channels, digital and print. Through cross-business consultation I manage the production and distribution of content on the Icon Water’s website, intranet and social media channels in line with communication and branding strategies. I research, identify and monitor communication opportunities in line with the organisation’s strategic plan. I am responsible for coordinating Icon Water’s participation in relevant events, internal and external charity fundraising, exhibitions and conferences. I connect with the media and stakeholders to ensure positive public relations with the brand. I develop and maintain a high level of engagement and interactivity throughout Icon Water communication channels, collaborating with the rest of the Communications Unit to ensure cross-functional teamwork.
January 2013-January 2015: Senior Consultant, Management Consulting, Corporate Success
I was re-engaged as a Senior Consultant by the former company, La Bella Creations, when they branched further into business consulting, instead of retail management. My clients included the Department of Defence, AECOM, Playgroup Australia, Intercontinental Hotels and Lifeline ACT. My role as a Senior Consultant included the provision of marketing, public relations, change management, consultation and communications services. In this role I provided services such as compliance with the client care program, preparing documents for web accessibility requirements for government clients, assisting with client workshops, provision and maintenance of media contact databases, market research, copywriting, editing, report creation and client relationship management. Contracts and campaigns I have worked on include a national fundraising campaign for Playgroups Australia, business improvement and a high profile tender application for Lifeline ACT and implementation and stakeholder consulta- tion for a local roads transport policy.
November 2012 – January 2013: Head of Client Services, Nimic Productions
At Nimic Productions I started as Administration Assistant and was the head of Client Services within 3 months, due to my business nous, expertise with client care programs, people skills and marketing and communications experience. With Nimic my responsibilities incorporated numerous high profile clients from private enterprise, Government and not-for-profit, including Hoyts, Murrays Coaches, Thomas Sabo Jewellery, Volunteering ACT, and Department of Veterans Affairs among others. My role included campaign creation, scripting, media buying and delivery, account management to maintain rapport with the clients. For my efforts with Nimic Productions I was published in Nett Magazine and the book Insider Know-How: Public Relations.
October 2010 – March 2015: Sales and Marketing Officer, La Bella Creations
For La Bella Creations (now known as Corporate Success), a dual award-winning online fashion jewellery label and ‘mumpreneur’ business consultant, I was the Sales and Marketing Officer. My responsibilities at La Bella Creations were to coordinate the company’s promotions and public relations, including writing and mounting of web material, direct marketing, fundraising, media release creation and distribution, copywriting, product innovation, social media management and customer service. I was also responsible for a number of national media campaigns with features in high level parenting magazines, as well as liaison with direct sales staff and warehouse ordering.
February 2010 – January 2012: Campaign Coordinator, Student Marketing Australia
With Student Marketing Australia I designed and executed a major campaign for The Sydney Morning Herald. By using innovative marketing techniques, I designed a innovative marketing campaign targeting University Students o promote the Sydney Morning Herald. I achieved the client’s desired KPI and ensured brand building.
February 2009 – December 2010: Campaign Coordinator, Epic Promotions and Marketing
My primary responsibilities as Campaign Coordinator at Epic Promotions and Marketing were to manage various campaigns for products and programs, such as Generation One, Stop the Butt, 5 Seeds, Rimmel, and Lynx, to reach a set KPI with advanced sales, marketing and merchandising techniques. In this role I was responsible for the delivery of various successful campaigns.
